The heart of Loysville, PA is located at the intersection of Route 274 and Route 850 in Perry County and is part of the West Perry School District.  This community has a small population; however, the miles of wilderness (including State Game Lands) is breath taking.  There are many farms nestled in the hills of Loysville, with acres of corn, hay, etc.  This rural community is also home to the Amish and Mennonite families, some having family businesses within the community, and you will notice many of the mom & pop businesses are still in operation today, they may have changed ownership over the years, but they still serve this rural community.  A popular yearly event in this rural community is the Amish School Auction held the beginning of July and all proceeds from the auction and sale of the food goes towards the Amish Schools in the area.

In the heart of Loysville you will find PD’s Grocery & Deli, they have been serving the area with grocery needs for 37+ years.  You can also stop by Leid’s Market, Family Dollar or head to the outskirts of Loysville and visit Stoney Ridge Foods.  Leid’s Market and Stoney Ridge Foods, have bulk items and produce.

Also, in the heart of Loysville you will find Pennian Bank who share’s their office building with RH2 Inc. for all your accounting and tax services.  Kreider’s Mill has been servicing the area for over 37+ years providing a full-service feed mill to the county and the surrounding counties as well.

Ray M. Bitting Insurance Agency (60+ years) is also in the heart of Loysville and then just outside of Loysville you have Binger Insurance Agency (60+ years) both these agencies provide Auto, Home, Business and Life insurance for many families within the community.  Serving the western end of Perry County for years has been the Nickel-Lochstampfor Family Funeral Home Inc.

Loysville Youth Development Center has been a major employer in this little community for many years, the staff provides programming for adjudicated delinquent males.

Each end of town has a garage providing PA Inspection Services and general repairs to keep your vehicle on the road.  You have Wilson’s Repair Services and Enck’s Sunoco Service where you can also fill up your tank.  NOTE:  When going West on 274 and heading out of town, this will be your last gas station for MANY miles.

Tri-County Veterinary Services (30+ years) is your full-service pet medical and surgical facility, folks come from miles away to bring their fur baby(s) to the trusting staff at Tri- County.  They also recently opened a PC Spay/Neuter Clinic, operating at a separate location in Loysville.  Ryann’s Pet Parlor is located just outside of Loysville for your fur baby(s) grooming needs as well.

Looking for building materials, hardware, paint, etc. stop by Superior Builders Supply, LLC (SBS) or check out S & S Supplies also carrying hardware, etc.  Many of the contractors in the area use SBS for their business needs.  If you are looking to have some welding done, stop by the newly opened DR Martin Welding.

Need to purchase a new riding mower or compact tractor?  Stop by Perry Power Equipment, they also provide maintenance and service to your outdoor equipment.  For the larger Farmco manufacturing equipment for the farmers, you have McMillen Brothers Inc. located just off Route 17W.

A few other businesses close to the heart of Loysville is the only restaurant in town, The Local Table (2022) serving breakfast, lunch and dinner and you can eat in or take out.  James Lebo’s Barber Shop, Greenpark Greenhouse only open during planting season and if you are looking to purchase a used vehicle check out Hidden Valley Auto Sales.

Traveling West going out of the heart of Loysville you will find the following businesses. First stop is Paradise Stream Family Campground, it is nestled into the heart of beautiful South Central PA and is your go to place to relax and spend time with family and friends with lots of family activities or make your own memories.  While at the campground, swing up to Wise Dry Goods and check out the many bolts of fabric or need a puzzle to work on at the campground, great little gift section.  A new historical rental space for special occasions has recently opened after the whole house went thru a restoration, it is The Andersonburg Place (2022).  Spiral Path Farm Inc. a USDA Certified Organic Produce Farm has been providing produce to grocery stores in Cumberland County and surrounding counties for years and they also have a membership program that you can purchase during the growing season.  Some of the produce grown for Spiral Path Farm Inc. is grown on the land surrounding The Andersonburg Place.  Looking for some healthy and wholesome foods, stop by Earth’s Delights.

The churches located in Loysville is Tressler Luthern Church in the heart of Loysville and on the out skirts you have Church of the Living Christ (also has a Christian based school) and St. Paul Lutheran Church

In the hill’s surrounding Loysville you will also find Creekside Barns, Ridgeview Structures and Blain Structures & Woodworking, the builders of rustic timber-frame horse barns, garages, storage sheds and buildings.  Otter-Tech Inc. offers metal roofing, under decking and other roofing materials for contractors and do-it-yourselfers.
