Newport PA Homes for Sale & Real Estate

Living In Newport Pennsylvania

Newport, Perry County is the heart of Perry County. There are many reasons to move to this area. You may want to live in the boro of Newport, PA or outside in one of the many surrounding townships. While we have many local jobs and housing, many people choose to commute to jobs because we have many major highways near Newport such as 322 East and West, 11 and 15 North and South, 17 East and West, 274 East and West all of which are easily accessible from Newport to make a easy commute if you are traveling for work, shopping, or entertainment. While living in the mountains and having easy access to highways we still have an abundant amount of luxuries in our own little town and we are growing every year. Perry County just celebrated its Bicentennial Celebration Oct,24th 2021, celebrating 200 years in existence.

We have two large grocery store chains, Weis Markets and Giant, a few great wineries, Bucks Valley Winery, Juniata Valley Winery, Winery at Hunters Valley, Shade Mountain and Buddy Boy Winery. We also have some of the most superior five-star restaurants such as pizza shops, coffee shops and fine dining and you won’t be waiting for seating in our neck of the woods. Here is a list of my favorites, Bambino’s Original Pizza, Newport Family Restaurant, Betting’s Restaurant, Mastracchio’s Restaurant is a must, Espresso Yourself Café. After all of your fine dining, you may decide to look for a gym, which we also have in town that has plenty of classes as well as monthly memberships you can sign up for so give them a call, Kings Fitness is right in the square of Newport, Pa. We now have some luxurious spas in town to enjoy after a long week of work, or take your out-of-town guests to when they come to visit, they will be sure to enjoy our cozy little town. The first one is Tranquil Touch Spa and Wellness and the second one is Day Dreams Salon and Spa, where they offer a variety of services, such as, hair, manicures, pedicures, body waxing, healing room, reflexology, reiki and more by appointment. If that isn’t enough to want to move into this beautiful town, we have lots of charming shops you can stop by that we are so proud of, like Perry County Council of the Arts Gallery, Carpetbaggers Collectibles, Soutner’s, Humble Stitch, Penn Avenue Trading Company, Goodwill Store, Seventh & Lavender, Sweet to the Soul Ice Cream Shop, Country Footwear and More, Hopeful Things Clothing Shop, Lana’s Flower Boutique, CBD American Shaman Of Newport, Buffalo Brew, Base Camp Outfitters, Dollar General, Sharar’s Grocery and Deli and they have the best subs and the best prices in town (and ask for Bobby), Chelle’s Family Pet Center, oh and we even have Fine Wine & Good Spirits Store, The Jewel Box, (I have bought several pieces there myself), Lighthouse Health and Foods LLC, David M. On gorgeous days you can float or kayak the river or maybe just paddle or fish at Little Buffalo State Park. Little Buffalo State Park has many walking trails of different levels so bring the kids and grandma for a nature walk. On Sundays for those of you who like to find a place to worship, we have many places that would love to welcome you, Newport Assembly of God, The Church of the Nativity and St. Stephen, St. Paul Lutheran Church, Incarnation United Church Christ, Highland Presbyterian Church, Red Hill Church of God, Bread of Life and many more.
